The problem was that I was trying to see if the problem was related to my personal settings so I remapped it to a rando character. I don't know why the un-remapping didn't happen, but the issue is fixed for me now. Sorry for the additional time spent

Tried this out now, and the issue is not resolved in the 0.17.43 version
