You could apply some logic to it. It would require all remant set to have at least one that ONLY stays in its own tiles: When (entitiy destroyed) Select (random remnant from avaliable list) IF (remnant is on top layer of overlap stack) DO nothing ELSE Select (random remnant not tested from avaliable...
