Re: Get the crafting speed of an assembler in script?
thanks Dave, but that property is only available on Modules, so it doesn't tell me what the base crafting speed or energy cost of an assembler, and I can't figure out the base + module values w/o knowing the base values.

Get the crafting speed of an assembler in script?
Where can I find the underlined properties in the information available to an executing mod?
It's in the raw data, but data.raw doesn't seem to be accessible from config.lua anywhere in the lifecycle
I also can't find enough information in the entity and item prototypes to reconstruct it.

Re: Smart Furnace whitout robots
@smarty
He has smart inserters feeding the oar so he won't have a buffer in the furnace itself.
@shirkit
I can't see the potential lock that you do. What would make it happen.
What I'd like to see is a smart system that smelts steel too

Re: [MOD 0.11.x] Pocket Bots. Construction bots for your pocket.
great mod!
bug: sometimes the personal roboport disappears before all the bots have made it back in. this seems to happen most often when I do X, then do Y w/o waiting for all the bots dispensed to do X to get back in.

Ah, you were using secs/turn not turns/sec. My mistake. Your math checks out.

Re: Unloading Trains - blue vs. red inserters
@ssilk
your rotational math is wrong. there are 2 red inserters not 1/2 a red inserter so
1 red inserter: 0.833 rot/sec
2 red inserters: 0.833 * 2 = 1.666 rot/sec
some of that rotational speed difference will be eaten up by their slower speed
I could post gifs or something on imgur if you want ...

Unloading Trains - blue vs. red inserters
Test: 200 iron plates in each car for a total of 800 iron plates per train.
On each side, the last iron plate goes into the storage chests at the same time. However, the blue inserters maintain a constant, consistent throughput while the red inserters on the lowest car block about halfway through ...

thanks. it was the train on the tracks at the end that finally let me run it full tilt. had trouble getting enough circuits to the smart inserter factory before than

Science Packs
This is my science pack setup. Best I've come up with so far. follows the standard 5:6:12 red:green:blue ration for factories. they keep 16 science factories w/ all efficiency research working - after I fixed the smary inserter bottleneck anyway. its fed by a single red belt for copper and iron each ...
