Re: ARM Build
I would like to have native Linux aarch64 build too. Headless server for the start would be enough. I have some aarch64 hardware, but it is also now popular in many cloud providers (AWS, GCE, Azure, Hetzner, Alibaba, Equinix), plus there are plenty of cheap SBCs (Rasberry Pi 4B, Rokchip boards, espe...

It should work, if not, some library paths might be being set incorrectly via environment variables, but weird that it works for you with other games in steam, but not Factorio.
I do not have nvidia or nvidia laptop, so you need to find somebody with similar setup that can help you more.

Re: [1.1.34] Main game hangs at the end of saving
I know it is not supported, there is some bug somewhere. But I really love this feature, and would like to help fixing it. Also this is the first time it didn't work for me, so that is weird.

[1.1.34] Main game hangs at the end of saving
I am using a non-blocking saving feature on Linux desktop, and it usually works perfectly. Never had any crashes for last year or two, since I started using it. I don't use any mods. I do have to loaded in the game, but not actually enabled on this map save. I often also leave the game for hours alo...

Post a screenshot and what browser, version and OS are you using. Rocket on-hover works fine for me.

[1.1.34] "Play for limited times" in editor, wraps around after 65536 ticks
I was trying to run a simulation in editor for 600000 ticks (10000 seconds). I want to calculate pretty precisely the average thoughput of various features of my build design, so I need to run it long, to get decent accuracy (i.e. to smooth out fluctuations, initial delays, etc). However, it stopped...

Re: Friday Facts #365 - Future plans
Nice. I fully agree, one big expansion is way to go. Please just release it before 2030 :). I think other options are just silly unless you have close to billion of dollars in capital to sink into development. I hope of course the the bug fixes and minor improvements will be made in 1.1, modding imp...

Re: [1.x] Steam issues
This is not really factorio or 1.x issue. If you want to permanently delete these files, what you can do, is this: Start factorio, alt-tab back to desktop, remove manually any files you want (i.e. specific save files), go back to factorio and exit it normally. Steam will think that the game removed ...

Re: [1.0.0] Non blocking save hangs
We will fix it by removing the non-blocking save feature, it is just trouble that works only on linux and is not worth it. :( Please no. I love this feature, and it works fine for me for very long time on my Linux machine. It really makes working with big bases and big saves way more pleasurable. I...

Re: [1.1.0] Error on headless server: Child 53 was terminated by signal 9, saving process crashed
Do you have any mods? I heard sometimes mods might cause asynchronous auto save to crash. If it is unmodded, if you can share the save, I can test async autosave on my Linux machine. I personally use async autosave for a long time, (vanilla, no mods), and never had a crash, even on hugs bases, and f...

Re: Main menu box dragged to the bottom of the screen can't be dragged back up
On my 1920x1920 monitor, I can't reproduce this issue. I can move it to the bottom, as much as I want, bottom-center, bottom-left, bottom-right, and grab it back without issues. I spoke too soon. The dialog is on top, but if I leave it there and the background scene changes, the "toolbar"...

Re: [1.0.0] Can't initialize audio
I looked a bit deeper and tried this myself, and it looks the SDL version factorio uses, doesn't actually support SDL_AUDIODRIVER . It looks factorio is not using SDL for audio. Instead it is using Allegro library for audio, music decoding and some other things (like mouse, keyboard and controller s...

Re: [1.0.0] Can't initialize audio
Actually it looks SDL might be trying things in the wrong order, dsp, then alsa, then pulse.
So, forcing it to use pulse might help.
Also, maybe you have snd-pcm-oss kernel module loaded? Try blacklisting it...

Re: [1.0.0] Can't initialize audio
Factorio uses SDL to access audio devices, it is build to support pulseaudio ("pulse"), alsa, oss ("dsp"), and does try these "drivers" in this order. On my system it defaults to pulseaudio: ... 0.534 [Audio] Backend:default; Depth:16, Channel:2, Frequency:44100; MixerQ...

Re: [1.0.0] non-blocking save on Linux crashes or locks up
You need to provide the factorio.log, save file and if you use mods, a directory with all the mods.
I never had issues with non-blocking saves, but some people said it could crash when using some mods.
