What are some of the best ways everyone has used to store a mass amount of items?

first off i wondered where this game had been all my life.

then i played for about 4 or 5 hours strait.

Then I had to learn how to do things efficiently.

Which just made the game more fun.

lol I didn't mean I am on so much that it's getting in the way of my friends. I still go do stuff with them I just meant when i am at home and stuff like that.

My friends never have to text me and ask me what i'm doing because they know i'm playing factorio.

I am also doing this challenge and i can say I am extremely lucky because a bit of a forest spawned near me so I didnt have to worry about wood untill the end.

my game keeps saying it cannot download the update. can someone tell me a solution or is it just something ill have to wait out?
