Do you mean the loaders? I believe the ingested materials are refunded later BUT I agree that it shouldn't accept more resources than it needs to begin with.
The current behavior is distressing to players who are seeing their resources disappear and it has no place in a tutorial given that nothing ...

I experienced the exact same sequence of events, except I didn't notice the subsequent robot tutorials until I saw your post. Now that I've completed the logistic and construction robot tutorials train ghost planning tutorial unlocked and was playable.

I experienced the same error message a few seconds after regaining control after winning the tutorial.
