Processor I7-9700K Game version 1.1.5 The minimum scale is 33-34 UPS Maximum scale - 46-47 UPS Game version 1.1.6 Minimum scale - 34.3 UPS Maximum scale - 46.7 UPS In the latest version, the UPS somehow "twitches" less But on the factoriobox on my version 1.1.5, the UPS is higher than on 1.1.6, whic...

Then you have to wait for a fix

Re: [1.1.1] save does not open (BuildCheckResult::abortIfNotBuildable)
It's easy.
Run version 1.0.0
Find the position on the map
position = {- 62.5000000000, 26.5000000000}
you remove the belt at this position, save and try again in version 1.1.1.
I did not boot exactly the same way, I had to fix it by hand. Apparently something was not finalized:)

Re: CPU performance benchmarks
Wow Ryzen 5xxx has closed the gap significantly! Someone with 2133mhz DDR4 was getting 95 UPS with the 5600x. And that memory is pretty damn slow. 3600mhz netted someone else 113 Let me be wrong in my judgments, but let me only consider the results in Windows. (in Linux, I consider some of the resu...

Re: UPS - at which base size it starts to become a problem
Nuclear power = ~200 GW of continuous power production Interesting results :) If there were saves, I could double-check them all on the Intel processor. I have 96 GW of atomic energy on a real map. I would also like to see your results with the maximum number of laser turrets under the same test co...

Re: UPS - at which base size it starts to become a problem
UPS is not strongly dependent on SPM. Not directly. There are bases with 10-20k SPM, and they work with 60 UPS. But another example is my 1k SPM base, on most computers it either will not start at all, or the UPS will be no more than 10-20. Everything is relative. Therefore, we must start from the o...

Re: CPU performance benchmarks
so there are already several results - 106 - the best for Windows. and this is a processor with 6 cores \ 12 threads. For comparison, a 4 core old processor shows 112, at a lower memory frequency. And further. I don't consider the results in Linux with huge pages, I consider them cheating. It is har...

I very, very often use switching the train from auto to manual mode, so I would also use a hot key. I join the proposal.

Re: [Oxyd] [0.17.71] Biters and Spitters not attacking after shot with artillery
Close, of course, but the problem was not particularly solved. There are more and more stuck nests on my map. Version 1.0.0 Here's an example: 884 hours of play (but I can find it earlier) 884.jpg 961 hours of play (but I can find it later) 961.jpg Get closer 2.jpg and there are more and more such "...

Re: [Oxyd] [1.0.0] Biters not spawning
Anyway, should be fixed in 1.1.0. Should this solve the problem with tens (hundreds) of thousands of biters stuck forever on my card, which stand in one place, and because of them only serves the UPS ?? If I remove them with a script, which is not very sporty, then my overall UPS increases from 37 ...

Re: CPU performance benchmarks
I tried running the benchmark (123_311219.zip) on my PC. Factorio used 33.6GB of RAM Launched the test (123_311219.zip) on version 1.0.0 Memory used 35.7 GB average: 15 ms, or 65 UPS Well, in order not to get up twice - test of my gigabase 38.jpg In principle, correlates with the real game - about ...

Re: Anyone Ryzen Benchmarks?
It's strange. Firstly, my save was apparently launched, and secondly, I also launched it in 1.0 and yes, there is version 0.18.33. Ok, now I will save the last save and post it to the exchanger. But this is long, maybe an hour) It is possible that there is still not enough RAM: ((( Can I try to incr...

Re: rate my defense outpost
Everything is relative. For 2-3, a dozen biters - maybe good. For serious defense - the crowd will pass without noticing it will blow. It's like lace panties in 40 degrees of frost. For the death world marathon, an attack of several tens of thousands of biters is common. My example of an outpost is ...

Re: Anyone Ryzen Benchmarks?
The result is 94 without huge pages. I'm using Factorio 1.0, Kernel 5.8.13, PDS scheduler, performance governor. There is a HUGE amount of TLB misses with standard pages (around 12'000'000/s with standard pages vs. 1'000'000/s with huge pages). The CPU boosts to 4.625GHz. As I understand it, 4.6 is...

Re: Anyone Ryzen Benchmarks?
An interesting result.
Is it possible another test, at the same frequency and with the same memory, but without these kernel tweaks ?? To see the difference, before and after
there is a very big difference between 114 and 85 (the usual result is also with good memory

Re: I want to play factorio but I lack a goal
Some unattainable goals in a vanilla game with biters enabled and constant respawn :) 1. Open ALL map and destroy all biters and spitters. 2. Build a railroad of 2 million cells. In vanilla. Per month :) 3. Drive around the entire map along the perimeter. For a minute, this is 9 million cells and I ...

As you can see they are nearly identical. Here is the map if you want to test yourself: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1NWSnQxbIZvoVkaXJx3c5PM9GiQXw4HpD/view?usp=sharing I do not know where you are getting the 7 UPS difference that you are. With this saving, the results are identical, but I did tw...

I started playing Marathon Death World version 1.0 with default settings. I managed to launch the first rocket in 94 hours. I don't know if it's fast or not, but it's harder to play than a regular game.
