Re: My "small" sandbox.
Constant expansion and supplied :) In more detail, it is necessary to start from afar. A full refueling of nuclear fuel is enough for approximately 300 km. Sometimes less)) Therefore, it is optimal to refuel and set up nuclear fuel filling stations somewhere in 250,000 cells. Schematically it looks ...

Re: My "small" sandbox.
Don't give up! Thank you. I am doing everything possible. The fight is with the "hardware" of the computer in the main. Since last time, I have slightly improved the processor and added more memory. Now the maximum is 128 GB. My current location : karta3.jpg What has changed since the las...

Re: Use ZSTD for savegame compression (much faster, smaller)
What do you know about saving the game)) p-f-f-f-f-f My save (vanilla clean) current time is 65 seconds, and this can be said almost instantly. Therefore, the interval between autosaves is 1 hour. And even then, I save more in order not to get into the "zero problem" / For me, the main thi...

Re: vanilla death world too hard
Due to logistics and bot self-damage? Why did I give up fire turrets?? I have always considered them intermediate until the laser turrets reach a certain power. As soon as this happened, I dismantled the fire turrets, now there are several (tens of) thousand of them in the chests :) upd: looked at ...

Re: vanilla death world too hard
My second map was (and is:) - Marathon of the World of Death. Without oil, at least in the immediate visibility - I think I would not start playing at all. But the first oil had to be won back from the biters, with a flamethrower it is already a little easier to run. In general, I launched a rocket ...

Re: Simple Questions and Short Answers
Thanks for the collection of suggestions.
So I'm not the only one who lacks such a function. Alas, I don’t use mods, I’m a retrograde, only hardcore, only vanilla.
You have to go the long way, build to actual size, remove the excess, and blueprint again.

Re: Simple Questions and Short Answers
If you open the blueprint with the right mouse button for editing, then why doesn't scaling work in the preview window in any way ?? Am I the only one who gets stressed by this?? I can't selectively remove anything from the components, because the drawing is huge and you can't see anything there. I ...

I would probably choose Intel and would not consider everything else. I'll expand on a few thoughts. This map is more indicative for megabases rel...

Graphical artefacts
About graphic artifacts. I see them intermittently for two years. They do not interfere with me at all, they appear for a few seconds and disappear at the slightest movement of the character. I don't complain at all. Maybe it's just me :) Снимок экрана 2023-01-05 в 16.46.12.png Снимок экрана 2023-01...

Re: [1.1.74] Artillery not generating chunks
In one sentence, what I don't like for consistency is: "I can not predict, at what point in time artillery will decide to fire at black chunks, and if not firing at a black chunk implies that there are no enemies there". This whole sector was bombarded entirely automatically, I was never ...

Re: [1.1.74] Factorio uses Efficiency Cores instead of Performace Cores
I run small factory (assume no bandwidth issues) at x64 speed on Win10, and got two P-cores working. Not sure about macOS. Does macOS officially support the new 12th-13th generation Intel processors? Apple switched to their own processors?? I should have more than enough RAM and bandwidth - I have ...

Snowpiercer
I really like the series "Snowpiercer". That's just the railway train they have a short :) Topikstarter created a train with a length of 4000 wagons. And as I understand it, with mods and endless resources. I play more, uh, honestly, no mods, pure vanilla, Death World Marathon map, with in...

Re: OS X Ventura massive performance improvements (M1)
However, it is written that: "modified for macOS" Maybe even you can run the script. And about the results. Very strange maximum results. Huge spread. I've run the tests many hundreds of times, usually the difference is much smaller. Here is an example: avg min max Test 1 5.545 4.971 18.49...

maybe the script registers the maximum values, not the averages??
Can you figure out how to run this script??

Re: OS X Ventura massive performance improvements (M1)
I'm quite satisfied with one result on the fastest model
You can also set the number of passes to 10. To be even more precise. The result is of course fantastic, much faster even 5800X3D with a huge cache size

Re: OS X Ventura massive performance improvements (M1)
1000 updates is too little
I always checked in such a script for 10000 updates.
And what a fantastic fabulous results.
So how much RAM do you have? can still check on a really heavy map, which needs more than 64GB of RAM

I'll wait for your result.
My computer on map Flame_Sla's 30k SPM belt shows 70 UPS, under Windows.
Under MacOS, I probably will never wait for the script

Re: OS X Ventura massive performance improvements (M1)
In a local game, the results are more accurate than in Steam. If you have enough RAM :), then I can test my map, which in Monterey never shows more than 37-38 UPS). And if you test maps with factoriobox, then I recommend checking the results for a heavy map https://factoriobox.1au.us/results/cpus?ma...
