I would like more information on how Rampant generates new biters and spitters. They have a favorite place to gather in high density, and I have tried to eliminate any spawners that could supply them. I haven't found mobile units marching in, but I'm not watching continuously.

PSU meaning power supply? It's an gaming laptop, an MSI GE75 Raider 95E. I am not aware of ever having Direct3D crashes. I.m not sure where the control you are referring to is: in Factorio settings, or in Windows?

crash while on menu
I had hit escape to freeze the game was considering & loading mods & disabling mods, went away and came back to a crash message asking me to post the log. I was running a fairly new Nullius game.

The delivery cannon doesn't seem to deliver. I'm running Factorio 1.0.0, Space Exploration 0.3.109. I had to go to OpenGL to get it to run at all. After applying various updates to drivers and Windows, the intermittent crashes stopped.

I finally caught the crash while I was at the keyboard. The only things in the system log at the time of the crash are warnings, not errors:
