it's not like that though, there's all kinds of ways to set things up. there's so much flexibility actually, I'm not even sure what the best options out of all the many options are. I'm no expert ...

I guess
left is the legendary chest since the icon is (slightly) different

Re: Effective science per minute higher than expected

hmm, productivity will not directly increase your output rate, will it? in terms of speed, productivity slows things down. ok over time you have effectively more science in the long run, but not in the sense that it would push up your /min rate.

but then that would move your estimate in the wrong ...

Re: Gleba has killed the game for me.

The game doesn't explain any of this.
well, it sort of does, but it's easy to miss. (if you mean it doesn't popup a message or something, ok fine, but the information is there to see.) for me, I missed other things.

1) I saw that seeds at 2% chance from 50 fruit would net to zero over time, and ...

Re: $50 DLC and no sale is disappointing

They’ve been iterating on it for 4 years already with a team more than twice the size of what they had for most of 1.0’s development, and if they didn’t think it was worth the price, they wouldn’t have released it. And I’m sure they’ll be iterating on it further for at least a year or two.

I ...

Re: $50 DLC and no sale is disappointing

And Factorio is certainly NOT more expensive than Baldur's Gate 1
not sure what you mean here; I guess you mean the original price? not even sure what that was. BG1:EE is ~$26 CAD (even less on GoG) on sale for ~$8 CAD. that includes the original expansion and two new expansions.

BG3 is regular ...

Re: Space Age is too hard

I don't think it's "fair" to compare SA to "Factorio without biters". Standard Factorio has biters, and standard SA should be harder than standard Factorio. "Easy SA" should be harder than "easy Factorio" as well actually. But there doesn't necessarily have to be a limit to just how easy you can ...

Re: $50 DLC and no sale is disappointing

I'm not in a good place right now to determine whether it is or isn't "worth it".

I almost like their philosophy about it if I have it right, which IIRC from FFFs is something like that if the game is not worth the price, they want to force themselves to MAKE it worth the price, rather than accept ...

Re: Feels like certain changes were made to the game 'just because'

I don't think "new players" should matter that much in the Space Age content. This is an expansion, it is specifically NOT for "new players".

Just think of how tense the main game already is when you get biter swarms before you are ready for them? Where is the hand-holding there? Why should the ...

Re: Well, Fulgora sucks [Spoilers]

I don't want to derail this with petty argument

the point is that it's one small thing that could improve the experience. improving the experience and the game is the point.

the ultimate point was: the rods are OP and should be nerfed, somehow (whether officially or mod or self-imposed). the fine ...

have you actually seen players trying to overbuild like that the first time they got to a brand new planet ?

Character can't move.
your character can go up to the platform to use it for transportation purposes, but AFAIK can't do anything while there but be a passenger. all interaction with the platforms is done remotely.

before you have a travel platform you probably would build a science platform and ...
