Re: Development and Discussion
Finaly for who is still reading my message :roll: Me and Timbo were in a twitch stream and got some feedback about mentioning our names on the mods themselves, in order to get some recognition for the work that we do. We both thought that we don't need our names next to Angels name as author. I ...

Re: Development and Discussion
Can other people, especially the current maintainers, please confirm my findings? Do I have a typo in my script? If the current version of Angel's Bioprocessing really does not spawn temperate gardens, the only way to get them is the new garden mutations, which is locked behind nuclear tech ...

Re: RSO 0.18 Angel's Natural Gas
So, with the current data and using the following script to measure the amount of resources, I feel reasonable confident in saying that the values are about that of Angel's. I did however also end up increasing the oil spawn rate slightly, by allowing for larger deposits(increasing max from 3 to 6 ...

Re: RSO 0.18 Angel's Natural Gas
Having a tested set of values saves me lots of time - no need to prep empty mod folder, download all the mods and run some generation tests.
Any tips for doing a bit more of a comprehensive test? I have some time over the next few days so I'll do some more thorough testing then come back to ...

Re: RSO 0.18 Angel's Natural Gas
I'd recommend doing your own tests to see if you feel they fit. But if nothing else it reduces the massive overkill of gas that you tended to get.

Re: RSO 0.18 Angel's Natural Gas
Ok, so a minor edit here, it seems like the reduced spawns were a bad set of map rolls. However, gas does seem more rare than oil. The values that I have landed on which roughly get the same proportion of oil to gas as Angel's were:
minimum_amount=5000,
richness={min=5000, max=15000},
starting ...

RSO 0.18 Angel's Natural Gas
I've been trying to make RSOs Natural Gas spawns with Angel's Petrochem match up with the new "vanilla" angels spawn amounts. While I get the deposit % down to an approximate value by removing one 0 off the richness and minimum_amount in angelores.lua, this also causes the spawns to be approx 1/10 ...

Re: Development and Discussion
Thermal water is used a lot for refining, so I'm not sure if we need to tweak it, it didn't feel out of wack if I recalled without RSO. Without RSO, gas wells where generating about 2.5K and 3K respectivly on almost all test worlds I've loaded. We could always fine tune it a bit more, but a goal ...

Re: Development and Discussion
Quick feedback from a few map generations: Gas still seems to be about 5x that of oil at equivilent distance (i.e. oil in the same rough distance is 1k, gas is 5k). With RSO enabled the spawn area still gets an insane amount of gas ~50-100x that of oil. Gas had about 20-50k while oil was between 200 ...

Re: Development and Discussion
Really appreciate the work and update!
One thing I still do wonder though, is it intended for Gas Wells to have such an obscene yield compared to Oil Wells in RSO? Started up a new save for 0.18 and the starting oil was a reasonable 90-150% on railworld, however the gas is at 7000-15000% yield ...

Re: Development and Discussion
Some input of meat + X creates natural gas. Not sure what would make sense here.
Quick idea based on the rough results of meat decomposition(too many variables for a single formula) allow it to decompose into fertiliser, ammonia, carbon dioxide and/or methane. Based largely on this article ...

Re: Development and Discussion
Give it time. There's definitely a few changes that broke things from my own quick and dirty attempt at updating it. For now, stay at 0.17 and check on the mod page for when an update comes out.danyax wrote: Fri Jan 24, 2020 10:24 pm Any chance Angels pack will be updated to 0.18? Or we have to stay with 0.17 client?
