“Read logistic network contents” should include items in transit to storage or buffer chests
When a roboport is connected to the circuit network, an option is available to read the network’s contents, which has the potential for very interesting applications. Unfortunately, the reported number is often inaccurate, since it does not count items currently being carried by logistic robots to ...

Re: [0.17.5] Crash while construction bots are working
After looking at this more carefully and reading some other bug reports, this seems to be the same issue as this report and this one , both which include the message “Unit number cannot be zero when comparing entities” in factorio-current.log. I’ll link this thread from the first of those two, since ...

[0.17.5] Crash while construction bots are working
I have a savegame that consistently freezes and completely locks up, responding to no inputs and forcing me to kill the process (though the music continues to play). Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to localize the issue to a single cause, but it’s consistent enough that it’s easy for me to ...

[0.17.4][keybind] SHIFT + Mouse wheel does not register on macOS
On my machine, a Late 2013 MacBook Pro running macOS 10.14, the combination of SHIFT + Mouse wheel up/down is clearly not detected properly:
Under the default controls, using SHIFT + Mouse wheel up/down to move through active blueprints does nothing at all.
Trying to rebind any controls to SHIFT ...

[0.16.51] Splitter input priority does not work when output belts are of mixed speed
A picture is worth a thousand words:

The above priority splitter has input priority set to the left side, and the output belts are red and yellow, which together form the same amount of throughput as the blue belt supplying the input. Therefore ...

Re: Splitting belt lanes and blueprints
There's nothing stopping you from using paired underground belts everywhere for lane splitting.
If you want to use unpaired belts for smaller designs, avoid putting 3 in a row.
One of the 4-to-4 lane balancer designs on the wiki includes unpaired underground belts arranged in such a way that ...

Splitting belt lanes and blueprints
Sometimes, I want to split the lanes of a belt. Yes, yes, I realize it’s usually best to avoid needing to do such things, but sometimes it’s useful. Even if you don’t put different types of items on each side of a belt, all of the designs for input and output balanced lane balancers rely on ...

Thanks! I had a feeling this existed somewhere, but I couldn’t find the duplicate by searching. Apologies.

[0.16.51] Underground belt placed by bots in wrong direction
In certain situations, when underground belts in a blueprint are not all paired (that is, certain underground belt entrances/exits are “orphans” that don’t have a corresponding exit/entrance), bots can sometimes place an underground belt pair facing the wrong direction, even when placed in such a ...
