Re: [0.13.20]User Verification required

With help of that awesome cracks of #Factorio i was able to work it out. Solution for me was adding a server-Settings file. As documentation on this is quite poor i add it here and will also add on wiki once i find some minutes beneath playing... I used the example Settings file "factorio/data/...

[solved][0.13.20]User Verification required

Re: spiel ist nach einigen stunden spielzeit langsam geworden

in the Options is a Setting for "max threads" factorio is allowed to use. If you have 8 cores available check the Settings to not Limit to 2 cores for example. I have 4 cores and UPS start dropping around 1-1.5m entities. So you should still have some reserves.

Re: MP Map transfer with TCP

i wonder if it would be possible to use a "torrent" like Distribution algorithm of the map. I know that the "peer to peer" stuff is already a start in this direction, but i think there are torrent like libs available which could increase the download Speed a lot especially on &qu...

Re: Friday Facts #132 - Side Project

I know some of you take this FFF as joke but unfortunatly thats very common Business in gaming industry at the Moment. I dislike the idea of making a simple "Sequel" on mobile devices as fighting would be hell. I would like to take the opportunity to suggest my idea of an "mobile gami...

Re: [0.12.26] Desync on modded MP

i actually dont think that this is related to the mods. As after 3-4 game restarts its mystically working. Edit: it seems that the Problem gets worse as the savegame growths. Is it possible that the game "lags" when loading the map on join? So the Server/other Clients want to start, but th...

Re: Railroad

The Trains deserve an overhaul, thats for sure, but its hard to decide what to be covered by devs and what to be done by modders. I would like to see something like the following in vanilla as then it can be Extended by far by modders: -carts for fluids, this is already confirmed afaik -when there a...

Re: Poll: Should belts use energy (and Offshore Pumps etc...)

Right now i would also go with that hardcore mode. Not sure if it would be easy to make an "Hardcore" mod actually. My idea regarding the belts: What about an "belt overclocker". A Building which would Speed up the belts. The amount of power consumed rises with the amounts of bel...

Re: [0.12.26] Desync on modded MP

i just experienced myself and i am Server admin. So i have same mod versions as on Server, right now steam Downloads files again. Not sure if something got corrupted. Regarding the mod versions, shouldn't that be checked before join with that "mod incompatible" message?

Re: 0.12.29 Headless sever desync into hang

Got same here i think.
Server is a 0.12.29 x64 headless Linux Debian

if i can provide more info i will do, just tell me. May "peer-to-peer" could render that "Server is Primary source" ignored? Would disabling peer-to-peer Change something?

Re: [0.12.26] Desync on modded MP

Ok i just experienced the same. Some times Players are able to join and Play normal, other times they get in a "desync Loop". Our Clients including me are using steam release to join. Factorio 0.12.29 x64 Linux headless, on a Debian System. - RSO 1.5.0 - Railtanker 1.1.3 - Warehousing 0.0....

Re: Wiki: Current prios

Ok, regarding main page: I found the "main_page/sandbox" and moved some parts. Problem here is that all sections "insert" subpages. So once i Change the subpages it will also affect real main page. So the changes of main page and subpages have to be done together. Here my plot: =...

Re: Wiki: Current prios

I agree that the categories for beginner/advanced/expert on main are wrong sorted. For beginner players there is no need to know about "work" and "game ticks" that is expert knowledge. For beginners it should be the item list and info about inserters, belts, and power, maybe asse...
