Something in the API that can be access when a player connects but has not yet joined would be useful. Would help with desyncs and excessively long catch-up times when running a small 24/7 headless server that has a large base or 3 on it. If the game is paused with shift+space, the only way to unpause it is to enter that key combo once more. Going into the menu and pressing resume has no effect
