I think you tried to make shortcut on your desktop, and copied Factorio.exe to your desktop instead.

What should I do instead to make a shortcut? Im not very computer literate.
I figured it out i just dragged the icon back into the original folder and launched it from there :? sorry to waste ...

When i try to start up the game i get an error message saying "there is no package core in C:/Users/Data. Deduced executable directory: C:\Users\grano\desktop, read data. _PATH_system-read-data__, write data: _PATH_system-write-data_
