Re: Friday Facts #320 - Color correction

In case, we are holding a vote: I actually like the more vibrant colors. It's just enough to make the game look better without overdoing it. (like Diablo3 did)

Also having some trees be strangely colored is cool. I definitely won't chop those down.

Re: Friday Facts #320 - Color correction

The night is a bit too ultramarine blue now. Add a little green to the mix, it will look much better.

Re: Friday Facts #314 - 0.17 stable

Oh god, no. Those points about WoW classic... I don't agree at all. Dungeon finder was a godsend to those of us who didn't want to spend hours assembling a functioning group. Having to idle around the dungeon entrance while trying to find competent AND friendly people to join and help us, then havin...

Re: Friday Facts #297 - New resource icons

These new ore icons look really good on the belt. This is not a change I needed, but a change I appreciate. While on the subject of nitpicky optics changes... Can you make the items on the belts rotate properly, too? With some things (namely flat things like concrete, plates, circuit boards) it beco...

Re: Friday Facts #296 - All kinds of bugs

This reminds me of the 6 stages of debugging:

1 That can’t happen.

2 That doesn’t happen on my machine.

3 That shouldn’t happen.

4 Why does that happen?

5 Oh, I see.

6 How did that ever work?

Looks like M.C.Escher designed that plant.

Re: Friday Facts #290 - Rail building changes & High-res icons

To be honest, sprite popping/resolution change with draw size is such a common sight in games that I hardly notice it anymore. Especially when deliberately zooming in/out in discrete steps, my eyes take like half a second to adjust to the new picture anyway and only if I really look for an imperfect...

Re: Friday Facts #283 - Prepare to Launch

I'm not sure how I feel about the conveyor/biter interaction bugfix. I saw it less as a bug and more as an emergent gameplay feature. I guess conveyor belt defense is gone now. I strongly suggest bringing it back in some form so it doesn't bug the biters completely but is still usable as a defense t...

Re: Friday Facts #275 - 0.17 Science changes

This FFF reads very well and sounds like a lot of thought went into it. Generally it's rare that I read update notes and think: Yep, that is exactly what we need. But in this case, really makes me want to start a new world again just to try the progression again.

Re: Friday Facts #269 - Roadmap update & Transport belt perspective

Nice improvement. But now that the belts are more threedimensional I kind of ask myself why any items on the belt don't fall off the end. You can see in the pictures that the last piece of something just hovers while the belt swings away from under it. Maybe add some kind of blocker to the end piece...

Re: Friday Facts #249 - Dead end exploration

Hello, I registered just now just for this very topic. I don't really like any of the proposed solutions, because I think, you are missing an easier, more elegant solution. Sorry, if this comes over as condescending (I get that sometimes, because english isn't my native language) it is not meant to ...
