I think the problem is some of us just. can't. ever. throw things away. So we fixed it, so the train will only give up its reservation once it leaves the block with the train stop. I would be interested to know if other people encountered this problem in 1.1 as well. In case, we are holding a vote: I actually like the more vibrant colors. It's just enough to make the game look better without overdoing it. (like Diablo3 did)
