[Combinators] How to isolate one item from a singal?
I have a signal with many different items and their amounts, for example [A=3, B=10, C=8]. I need to convert it to a signal that would contain only one of those items, doesn't matter which one, for example [A=3] or or [C=8]. I don't see a simple way to do it without building a minicomputer. Any ideas?

Re: [0.16.24] Crash in ~1 min after loading the game
I don't remember removing any train stations. However biters could destroy one and bots could rebuild it after that.
I reloaded the game, stopped first 10-15 trains, waited for a while and the game didn't crash this time. Works fine since that.

Re: Friday Facts #201 - 0.15 Stable, but not really
There's always something else that can be optimized. Last week we purchased some new hardware because I wanted to test if 'throwing money at it' was a viable method of improving compilation times (and the speed at which we can develop/fix things). We purchased a brand new i9-7900X CPU and compatibl...

Because they out of fuel and have no energy to move.nuhll wrote:But why they cant take when the BELT is NOT moving?
When you place a new burner inserter it has a little bit of fuel to be able to move to refuel itself. Some of your inserters ran out of fuel completely, so they can't even refuel themselves.

Bug: post #21 is not visible
In this thread - Lab Efficiency Research - i have written a post that should be #21, but it's not shown neither on the first page (because the forum shows 20 posts per page), nor on the 2nd page because there is no second page yet. The post is also not visible in the thread's print view. The only wa...

Re: Lab Efficiency Research
I have a suggestion about labs and their efficiency. Problem: Unbalanced mid-game research difficulty In all my games the only time I actually carefully think about what to research next is the early game. This is because there's no enough labs yet or no enough science packs or resources to make the...

Re: Iron sticks instead of iron ore in concrete recipe
And maybe for the same reason it makes sense to change rails to use stone bricks instead of raw stone. Yes it would produce 5 at a cycle (as other way stone will be consumed 5x faster) but this would make sense and would actually simplify understanding of stuff by people - that raw maretials have t...

Re: [0.15.10] Inserter not inserting
It's not moving now, when the unlucky inserters are already out of fuel. It usually happens to the inserters that are closer to the fuel input and never happens to the ones that are at the end of the lane.nuhll wrote:The belt is not moving. (how else should the others get coal?!)

Agree. I don't like recipes that produce final goods out of raw materials without use of intermediate products. And it's quite logical to use wires instead of copper plates for poles.5thHorseman wrote:While we're on the topic, why is copper needed for electric poles, and not copper wire?

Since bots can carry barrels, you don't have to lay belts or pipes or railtracks from your oil processing site to the customers that don't need large amounts of liquids.

Overriding inserter stack size via circuit network
What are the use cases for overriding inserter stack size via circuit network? The potential use case is to be able to move the exact number of items from a chest/wagon to a chest/wagon regardless of the current stack size bonus. But it didn't work out as expected. Here I'm trying to move 41 lights ...

Re: Getting rid of alien artifacts is a bad idea
the artifacts were NOT a scarce resource, just an annoying one. Indeed. In one of my previous games I had like 200-300k artifacts in the storage after completing The Great Perimeter Wall and securing the whole area. I had no idea what to do with all that treasure. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfi...
