Re: pY Alien Life - Discussion

I wanted to share some sections of the base I've been working on and offer some meandering feedback for the py/chem science part of the game, as this feels like the time when all the Alien Life elements really start flowing into use. A few new mushrooms, several new interesting plants and animals, ...

Re: pY Coal Processing - Discussion

If you're nearly up to Navens, why not feed in Fuel Oil? It's a simple conversion from Oil in a DDC with decent MJ value (0.8MJ). It's lossy relative to full oil processing, but it's simple to process and source; all you need is a few DDCs and a small oil field or some drilling fluid. that is a val...

Re: pY Coal Processing - Discussion

Anyone got more info on what glassworks fuel they're using? I think I'm going to fall back to methane. Highish value, cheap to make (but big). For the mod authors: Suggestion: I'd like to see a "liquid fuel" needed for glassworks that can come from a variety of sources, much like combusti...

Re: pY Coal Processing - Discussion

For the mod authors: Suggestion: I'd like to see a "liquid fuel" needed for glassworks that can come from a variety of sources, much like combustion mixture. This way I can send left over gases / liquids to a reprocessing plant to be turned into liquid fuel. So why not just use combustion...

Re: pY Alien Life - Discussion

not worse, but its your opinion. Also, i never reccomended people to breed all the animals/crops. you can tottaly focus in one of them. Except the requiered ones What I'm getting at is say: the best fungal substrate for fawogae or navens. It requires a heap of the animal parts. Which to feed those,...

Re: pY Alien Life - Discussion

Trying to work out "best" of certain things is really difficult with this. It seems like lots of later techs are potentially actually worse than earlier ones, especially in regard to food requirements on animals etc. Nearly seems like that you should just go all in on one animal like Ulri...

Re: 1MJ per unit for Natural Gas?

syngas is 400kj coalgas is 200kj
cride is 82.5jk nat gas is 90kj (since crude is used in much more recipes so gas needs to have something better going for itself )

Re: Glass works fluid?

We fixed the enegy consumption issue in pY Pollution & Energy . You can use the mod until this gets fixed. for me installing this mod don't fix Glassworks (i verify checkbox in settings - it's set). what is the fastest solution to fuel glassworks right now without learning 10 technologies? make...

Re: Glass works fluid?

Yeah something still feels really off about early game. I'm supposed to get 270 coalgas and/or tar for each glassware I create? (2 seconds of glassworks = 54megajoules). The only way to get coalgas and tar with no tech is to run raw coal through a DDC, and then run the small amount of regular coal ...

Re: pY Coal Processing - Discussion

Isn't it a typo that glassworks now have 27MW consumption? That is major bottleneck early on. Like all syngas sinks to that and there is no left for turbines. I would say 6MW would be better. What do you think? 6MW is 4/s natural gas atm so it is like nothing Not sure how you got to that number. I ...

Re: Glass works fluid?

So I just came back to Pyanodons since 4 or 6 months ago. What has happened? Red Science is now going to take hours and hours to even make the first one? Glassworks requires TWENTY SEVEN MEGAWATTS of liquid fuel? I plugged it into helmod and that would be 800 coal gas per second to make 1 red scien...

Re: pY Coal Processing - Discussion

also atm you can automize CO2 wood at red science , if i remember well , so you can make it from just power and water and yes it is a positive power loop too

for mk1 it is 27MJ syngas was 400kj/unit , i think, so 67-68/s not much also if you use O2 in syngas you also get bonus H2 as fuel
