Hi great mod. I have a few issues. One major problem is typing a period ( . ) without anything before it crashes the game. Yes it is true that the items built into walls would be susceptible to attack and that is where you would make the choice to do it or not.
I think i may start a different suggestion to make an item like chain link fence that can block the player as an alternate to this idea.

Yes, I support this idea.
Also I agree there should be a key needed to force place. Also I agree it should ignore the player, maybe you can use the force place for player ignore.

[0.11.9] Toolbelt crash
When you take an item from your toolbelt and then click it on the border of the toolbelt, the game crashes to desktop. This happens 100% of the time.
I don't remember this happening in 0.11.8 but then I wasn't trying to click on the border either.
