I'd be curious to hear about that too, but the patch notes give a little more info:

Fixed controls were lagging when application window was receiving lot of events it didn't recognize on macOS or Linux.

This is affecting me as well, on a 2018 Macbook Pro 15". The issue wasn't noticeable when played on an external monitor (a 30" apple cinema display running at its native resolution of 2560 x 1600), even when maximized, but when played on the native retina display (at its native 2880 x 1800 ...
