A simple fix would probably be to colour the buttons differently depending on if a connection is active (red) and connected (green).

If, for example, a belt is connected to both the logistic and circuit networks, there is no way to see this at a glance. This can lead to unnecessary debugging as enabling the logistic network overrides settings in the circuit network.
