Binding a rocket silo to a ship before allowing mixed loads seems the most elegant solution. It would still be a complex solution since it requires not only the binding logic, but also some threshold for the mixed loads. I like bots best for short bursts of high throughput. That's where they solve interesting problems that belts can't do. Therefore, the best fix IMO would be to solidify that behavior. It would still leave train (un)loading, character loading, rarely used item recopies, etc viable, but would leave ...

I'm getting a similar crash on 0.16.9. I was having the game freeze on save ever since I added a logistic network. I have attached the save too. I haven't figured out what next action triggers the saves from failing. Adding more logistic chests seem to do it.
