I've been playing the same save for an hour now, on the Ubuntu live disk. No issues whatsoever. So indeed, seems to have been driver related as re-install of the nVidia drivers solved the issue.

As far as I could see, I thought the first 2 crashes (in-game) have around the same error message, with only the 3rd (pre-menu) being different? After the GPU drivers update, I've started the game again and loaded the same save. It's running fine now for >30 minutes. So that's why I'm not really sus...

Reproduced. Loaded very same save, now crashed already after half a minute. I also have to say, that I haven't enabled Razer Chroma support and don't even own such devices. After this crash, I loaded the last save immediately and we tried to reproduce the issue. We did the exact same thing for 2 hours but nothing happened. As I couldn't identify the root cause of the crash myself, it's kinda hard to get it reproduced. So this is all I have :(

We're 2 months later now, and an additional 40 hours or so on this map. I haven't seen this crash again. As it's so difficult to find and reproduce, and it might have been solved unintentionally in the following 20 patches, I think we can close this one :)

I loaded my save, and did nothing beside just standing still and checking my factory from map mode. After 3~4 minutes, the game crashed suddenly.

Technically speaking not a bug, as it's working right now per design. So it's a design flaw in the train prioritising calculation for circuit-controlled signals.

I came across the same issue today, after updating to 16.8 Saw all my bot based iron smelting crash down. Soon discovered none of the requesters were receiving deliveries, although plenty of content in the passive providers and logistics bots to carry these. The save attached should demonstrate the ...

Additionally, you might have a situation where that single bot missing storage (and therefore holding on to the object) was assigned to build the missing object(s) as well. In such cases, no other bot will jump in to do it instead of him, causing situations like these.

I've tried to reproduce it several times, by the way, but it didn't happen again. I might have had the location slightly off, or missed an action.

I was placing 2 rail blueprints on top of each other. One of the signals became invalid by doing so. Just a bit later, the game crashed on me.
