I can confirm this was fixed in 0.16.2 for Mac OS 10.12.6. With Factorio 0.16.1 I was seeing the sys trace referencing symbol not found in /usr/lib/libc++.1.dylib and the game would not start.

I installed Factorio 0.16.2 this morning and it started right up.
