Re: Version 0.17.60
With how you guys handled these changes, yes that's an appropriate reaction. You fundamentally changed the design goals of the game by removing a puzzle, which made me (and several other people) strongly dislike the direction the game is going. We tried pointing this out to you with reasoned ...

Re: Version 0.17.60
A third parties view makes you assume the intentions of another party and you fully commit to that assumption? That seems like a bad way to form an opinion.
My point is that a moderator should be a neutral arbitrator to make sure the discussion stays polite and on-topic. Moderators should leave ...

Re: Version 0.17.60
Usually, when you try to explain your reasoning for a change and the playerbase doesn't I don't accept that reasoning, it means to me the reasoning was flawed and you should reconsider whether you're making the right change.
A lot of us I Think I understood the reasoning behind the changes, we ...

Re: Version 0.17.60
We disagreed about the need for a change in the first place, not the logic behind the tweaks being made.
Ok, and how are we supposed to handle this situation?
We think a change is nescessary, you don't. Who should make the decision?
We like a change, you don't like a change.
Is uninstalling ...

Re: Version 0.17.60
From now a year nobody will mention this change anymore.
You can only pound sand for so long. That was obvious within the first week and blatantly obvious as the days went further by.
I feel sorry for those who wasted their time talking to dead air. I'm sure many hours were wasted on doing ...

Re: Version 0.17.60
Arguments agains change will never change.
But the gameplay effects involved here is the real issue; and there are certainly issues here! The one true "improvement" NewBOP gives is that it indeed smooths out the Green-->Blue science transition hump. But in doing so it cheapens the game ...

Re: Friday Facts #305 - The Oil Changes
No one here has talked about the logistical cost saved when you have a PG-only refinery. So what if it produces 10 less? Now I don't have to deal with the 60 non-PG oils, its storing, conversion, transport, and powering all of that to do so. You guys that don't see the other side of this coin just ...

I see your mind is made up and you won't be addressing any of the points he made for why oil shouldn't have been changed. This is just further evidence that you started with the idea that oil needed a change and figured out the how and why later rather than analyzing what people were actually ...

I still trust Wube but after ignoring two 35+ pages threads I feel like Factorio will go downwards from now on.
We didn't ignore any of the feedback
You still haven't addressed Antaios's post which has been linked multiple times now. You're even continuing to promote ideas that he ...

Kicking the can down the road doesn't solve the problem

Re: Version 0.17.60

Kicking the can down the road doesn't solve the problem, it just makes for a bigger problem later on. And I still have yet to see a response to Antaios's post about the true problem of blue science: https://forums.factorio.com ...

Re: Version 0.17.60
The devs have made their game better changed their game, and if you're not ok with that, you can mod it to your hearts content.
Fixed that for you. MANY of us disagree that the changes are for the better, and we're being told to sit down, be quiet, and undo bad design decisions with mods ...

In case the post gets removed from the FFF306 thread
Before I get started, I want to caveat this with the fact that this topic (the new introduction campaign) does deserve discussion, but maybe there were more urgent topics to cover this week?

Re: Version 0.17.60
Except the target audience for this change isn't even playing on the experimental branch , they're playing on the stable branch. The people whose feedback is needed for this won't get this until it's been declared stable and extremely unlikely to change again.
So please explain into which ...
