It seems he fixed sideloading. Also you totally broke circuit based belt loading. Belt compression is now done with inserters. Why did I overlook the change in the changelogs? Your problem should have something to do with the splitter problems that are still unresolved. I would suggest it occurs in the splitter before the sideloading. Actually not. Mostly, its just that I'd like to know where we stand for 0.16 at least. My current smelter blueprints use underground belt compression, which no longer works (which makes sense, it was always silly) so I need to design a new set-up. But the devs have mentioned that they were planning to alter belt...

This particular behaviour is only happening when the belt is a circle. There needs to point, where the circle connects to itself. Well in newer version there is no way that i know of how would i compress belt, and half belt goes unused because 'unloading' has 'nowhere to put' stuf.
