Did you try to close Factorio and restart it?
Cuz I get an error after each update when I load it for the first time, but it's always fixed after I restart.

I would like to add to this, that you can't load manual saves anymore once this has happened and somehow it now causes factorio to crash whenever I tried to load a save, auto-saves included
