With exchanges posts I don't see any chests in the area, am I experiencing a bug, or am I meant to do something specific?

Might as well code in a paint gun, and each model has a part of the texture that can be recoloured on the fly

Sounds like lasers need either buffing, or unique ability added to them beyond not using ammo, and a little extra range
