[0.18.35] power switch doesn't have sound effect when toggling

In the past toggling a power switch would result in a suitably electric-power-switch-sounding sound effect. But after updating to 0.18.35 this seems no longer the case. I noticed because I specifically wanted to check out the new graphics. Thus I ended up playing with the switch. I'm on MacOS v10.11...

OK, last report for today (well, yesterday) 0.16.1 still won't launch. Could some of you try the attached app? To make it smaller, I removed a lot of data, so the game won't start properly, but it should crash later, with a factorio window open and a log file created. The error should say something about 'Unknown key:"font.default"'. The app crashes instantl...

Update: Ok this seems to be different than previous times. I downloaded 0.16.0 from "www.factorio.com/download" and installed it. The game didn't launch, and after about 30 seconds of the icon jumping in the dock, the OS said there was a problem and I should report it. (still no log file) ...

I launched game in 0.15.40 to check if 0.16 is released. -->The application launched as expected and reported 0.16 was available. I choose to update by pressing the "update" button. -->Update got downloaded and then the application relaunched itself. (as expected) 0.16 quit almost instantl...

I have the same problem on macOS, except, the game didn't produce a log for launching 0.16.

In addition, after the initial crash, the application doesn't launch anymore at all, the OS says the application can't be opened.

An error occurred when updating to 0.16
After applying the update, factorio crashed on relaunch, now it no longer launches the game at all, the OS says the application can't be opened. :cry:
