Re: Unexpected behavior with UtilitySprites::fuel_icon
You're probably being bitten with the same problem I was with No Power Icons - the fuel-icon utility sprite doesn't seem to be used by anything anymore. You need to replace the ["burner-usage"]["fuel"]["icon"] instead.
There are separate icons for items which burn fuel, food, or nutrients ...

Unexpected behavior with UtilitySprites::fuel_icon
Hi. I'm making a mod to replace some sprites, and conducting simple tests to that end.
I've found that I can replace most of the sprites from UtilitySprites, except for fuel_icon.
data.raw['utility-sprites']['default']["fuel_icon"].filename = "__your-mod-folder__/your-subfolder/your-custom-64x64 ...

The write-up preceding the video was awesome.
This is my favorite planet, for sure.
It's not clear if the machines become slow continuously, or discretely.
I hope it's the former.

"The implementation for this in the prototype was basically a conga line of tanks with some clever code to make them follow-the-leader while adding some sinusoidal movement. The leader was a giant biter."

Someone said QOLs aren't exciting. They are the most exciting thing. I really don't think factorio needed rts whatever for spidertrons, but that's where we're at.

If I am in the minimap, and I enter the Locomotive Station list window, and I close this window (which itself shows me where I am), I return to the minimap.
Instead, I should return to the ordinary game. Please fix this as well

Finally the circuit wires get copypasted. Took long enough. These quality of life changes seem very random compared to how other kinds of decisions are made.

Many such cases.I wasn't a fan of the grassy desert so I enquired about changing it, but it seemed like this was an uncomfortable topic that no one really wanted to get into.

This is very cool. I shouldn't have to open an external resource to learn about items.
This is a good opportunity to finally stop showing the player the rotational speed of an inserter (or of anything else similar) instead of items per second like in the belt.

Re: Friday Facts #393 - Putting things on top of other things
This is cool, but someone bothered to add colors to items in belts so their movement is easier to see, but no one stopped the belts from animating for stopped belts?
One of those is harder to do than the other.

Re: Friday Facts #387 - Swimming in lava
This is very arbitrary. At least make this recipe need lava.And because we want to make specifically the rocket part production easier, the Foundry can also craft the normal recipe of Low density structures.
It's bizarre being able to craft this one normal item but nothing else.

Melting is cool but I can already tell I won't be able to cast or recycle everything I should, for no good reason. Like how I can't autoplace underground pipes like how underground belts are placed.

I don't need to "super force" the ground into water so that I can place pipes anywhere I want.

Space platforms cannot have holes in tiles, and their surface must be contiguous. If a tile that bridges two sections is destroyed, the section without connection to the hub is destroyed as well.

These QOL changes are always my favorite. I never could say why the wires were so weird and hard to see, but it was both the sagging and the weird shadows. So nice seeing it be fixed.
