I had this problem too, and i struggled with it for quite a while. First of all, get your factorio saves (%appdata%/Factorio). The folder is simply called saves. Copy that, so it wont get deleted. When you have done that, uninstall factorio. Then you download the wanted version of the game in .zip ,...
