What about just adding slots to the car and tank similar to powered armor? They would use the same modules, except for stuff like legs and nightvision.
I think that mounting a machinegun on a car is very much in the spirit of this game.
Maybe this should be a feature? Perhaps walls and fire turrets could have high resistance to fire, but if they're firing around other buildings it's fair to cause damage.
I think that there's nothing particularly wrong with the fact that corners slow down throughput. The fact that "going straight" is faster encourages more streamlined designs and is also somewhat more realistic.
The fact that you can work around this with splitters could be considered a problem ...
I think it's excellent when early game items are used for late game items. But it doesn't make sense for everything. And there's also the possibility of creating items you don't need by mistake.
I think the best solution would be to add some sort of "recycler" which breaks down items into very ...
Right now laser turrets are the most effective way to fight, right? I think some element of this should be preserved while the game is developed. At the very least the player should be required to have a "safe spot" to retreat after assaulting. For example killing a nest should trigger instant an ...
Maybe interacting with powdery substances should still be possible, just much slower. So it would be more efficient to create spliters and belts for furnaces than inserters.
I think this could be accomplished by adding input/output ports to furnaces and maybe tweaking the input/output ratios so ...
Idea 1: Add mutated biter that is highly resistant to lasers. - You need gun turrets to shoot these guys when they come up closer.
This is an excellent idea. Adding different resistances to enemies would strongly encourage the player to build multiple kinds of weapon systems and turrets.
This is quite annoying, to the point where it could even be considered a bug. There should at least be an option to prohibit automatically removing fuel.
I've had cases of trains running out of fuel in the wilderness because of this, and I had to travel by car to inspect what was wrong. Maybe there ...
