Re: How to organize train networks?
I have done it this way, it is not ideal but works for me. I have 2 bases that needs resources, Rocket base and sience base. I have each Irone/copper/etc outpost set up with two or more loading stations with the same name, the resources are loaded evenly between the stations, and are set up with 2 o...

Re: I7-2600k vs i7-7700k single core performance
Just a update, a few weeks ago i upgraded to a i7-8700K overclocked to 4,9 Ghz, and 3200 Mhz RAM. The result, I gained about 15-20 FPS/UPS. My factry is now 20GW+, 2k + sience packs per minute, and runs around 45 UPS. I hope i will back up to 60 UPS when 0.16 is realsed this week, if the optimizatio...

Re: I7-2600k vs i7-7700k single core performance
I'm getting 40-43, but that's without mods, so if I added the mods it'd be much lower. I'm amazed at what the devs have done, considering I'm playing it in HD on a fairly old intel core i7-950 (3.07GHz, not overclocked). If you skip the mods you will not have long underground belts, and everything ...

Re: I7-2600k vs i7-7700k single core performance
what kind of voltage are you folks using to get to 4.5Ghz? the voltage bump needed to get to 4.4 wasn't worth it to me. 2500K @ 4.3Ghz 1.25v It is getting a little to technical now, and we should take the overclocking stuff to a off topic thread Mine is at stock voltage, just changed the multiplier...

OK I am a little hesitent to post the save in public, but i will do it "for sience" *Discaimer This factory is my one and only save. It was created in 0.13 and been upgraded. It is a Franken monster, patched and changed so many times, most of the ideas are stolen from youtubers, and downlo...

Re: Nuclear UPS problem theory: heat pipes the culprit?
I did a quick test, my factory is at 25fps/ups I use a 120 reactor setup, i stole the blueprint some where. I tore down all reactors and heat pipes. As half was losing steam my UPS climed up to ca 30. When everything stoped and no steam it was at 40 UPS. At that point the factory was running at the ...

I7-2600k vs i7-7700k single core performance
My factory is getting to big ! My current computer specs are. I7-2600k@4.5Ghz, 16GB DDr3 ram@1600mhz GTX1080 34" ultrawide @3440x1440 My current factory has dipped to less then 30 fps/ups. For any current games there are absolutely no point for me to upgrade to a current gen i7 when playing at ...
