Private Messages
Is it just me or does everyone have a white background for the private messages? Light grey text on a white background is awful, not to mention with this dark forum layout it doesn't mesh well and strains my eyes. Just thought I would ask, if others agree maybe we can start a revolution and cause an...

Re: Dedicated Multiplayer Server Guide
nimh, put metal plates in a box with an inserter outputting onto a 500 tile long belt then back into a box.. start the system, let it run 1/4 of the way down the belt, leave the game, wait a few minutes, join back.. If the plates reached the end and were put into the end box then the game didn't pau...

Re: Standalone Windows server ???
Game saves are pretty good for not corrupting, maybe every 10 hours create a backup file for your sanity but it usually shouldn't be needed.. almost every version update the maps are compatible and you can continue your factory without the need to start over.. In the options menu you can set the aut...

Re: Standalone Windows server ???
AS fish said the game is pretty much the same.. The concept has always been the same since the early days.. Mine raw material, smelt it into plates, use plates to make the basic materials, use plates + basic materials to make complex materials, go big or go home.... or small and compact, whichever y...

Re: Standalone Windows server ???
The demo should be enough to teach you the basics.. or the campaign now that you own the game (good job buying it :) definitely worth the purchase).. If you are still lost there are a ton of youtube videos where people play the game to almost the end if not all the way to rocket defense. Although ma...

Re: Release in 2015?
Is it known if there will be a price increase once you guys launch to steam? I have a few friends that I keep trying to get to purchase the game but they want to wait until it's on steam. Telling them they get a steam key has failed many times but maybe if I let them know it may be cheaper now to p...

He's got a point.. the late 1800's would seem pretty boring now.Zeblote wrote:But that's so boooooring.
Let's go new age, how about Maglev trains?
-No noise
-Lighting speed
-No wires
-No moving parts
Sounds awesome!

Re: Electric locomotives
Wouldn't it be easier to write a script for powering the track instead.. (X ammount of power per tile) - (distance from closest power source).. Example with numbers: Wire reach for Big Electric Poles is 30.. So every say 150 tiles you would need to put a transformer down to make the powered rail bac...

Hmm interesting.. well it was just an idea.. I'm sure there is a better way to go about doing this anyways.. I just sometimes see multiplayer videos where the run times for people are off by a couple mins.. With the PvP series Klonan and I are doing it's a bit easier because we are talking to each o...

I still haven't loaded up Factorio since seeing this But I wanted to say this: I'm not sure if this is completely necessary but I've always thought a button that would run the game for 20mins and then pause would be helpful for us youtubers (or anyone who wants to only play for a certain number of m...
