Even after restarting the game, the behaviour does not change: You are not able to find the mod when searching for "farl" in the "Manage" tab. So I don't think that this issue is really a side effect of no-restart what you described.

This is only a minor inconsistency in the mod menu, which I found: In the "Install" tab, you can search for the internal names of mods as well as for authors. In the "Manage" tab, you can't.

I noticed that the language "id" is missing its label in the dropdown field of the interface settings.
The language is actually using the wrong key in its info.json file: In "data/core/locale/id/info.json", change "name" to "language-name", and I assume it will work :D

I created a Factorio Item Browser, which may come in handy to check the recipes. E.g. your yellow inserter. (Also supports some of the popular mods (e.g. Bobs and Angels), but may still bug out on those.)

The only reason I can give to change it is consistency: Why is the name of the entity used, but not the description? For me it would be more logical if either both values are taken from the entity, or none.
