I haven't played factorio in a while and when I tried to relaunch my factorio it didn't work. I deleted it and tried to re-download it.
0.12.10 just doesn't launch properly. The icon appears (I'm on a mac btw) and then immediately fades away.
I tried re-downloading it once and but the same problem ...

When I try to run 0.11, everything works perfectly fine.

I have a similar problem. Initially, I updated manually to 12.0. It took a while to update and when it finished, it crashed. I tried re-running factorio but it kept crashing. I see some minor efficiency problems (plastic production for instance) but very nice. I also suggest you invest in solar and electric furnaces since it's cheaper in the long run and pollutes a lot less.

I've tried a couple of mods a while ago, didn't like them and deleted/removed them. Flash forward to three weeks of no factorio, I try to play with the new version 0.11.2 and it doesn't work. I download/re-download 0.11.2 three times and it still gives me the following error:
