Re: Animals and their uses
I disagree about mukmoux. Comparing Ulric/Auog at base resources to mukmoux at food-2, is not an apples to apples comparison.
Mukmoux at using food 1 only requires tuuphra. Tuuphra is easy to produce, easy to get to mk2+ (does not use fertilizer), and is under utilized (not in bedding or research ...

Re: Animals and their uses
From what I have seen
For manure, early is auogs due to simplest recipe and no plant dependency. Mid game, a combo of ulric (quality food) and mukmoux (with food).
Early game, fish for everything. A large fish farm will supply all of the body part needs and urea needs for well past c1 automation ...

Is there way to add an infinite research path for "Green Thumb" that adds a global productivity to plant production? Same with Animal Husbandry for animal productivity? It would be similar to mining productivity. Not speed, but produce extra product.
Also, for xeno production, is it possible to get ...

Found this mod great fun through red science and really liked the themes of these additions. Really fantastic work you do.
But the balancing at the wall at green science is a little to harsh I'd say, I think it's mainly the creatures fault, they are either too slow to produce or don't give ...

Re: Huge difference in ore-to-plate ratios
Prior to pyPH and the introduction of small parts, I imagine copper was not used as much. But with small parts, I seem to be waiting on copper quite a bit.kingarthur wrote: Wed Jul 24, 2019 10:19 pm
I've actually turned copper down a few times as people was ending up with to much of it as it just not as heavily used

I only request this is due to the ground borer's coal gas requirement. This change would give a better/useful sink for coal dust. And I can still gasify coal gas to get to syngas.kingarthur wrote: Tue Jun 18, 2019 3:23 amCoal dust to coal gas. Some other nice to haves.
Add pyPH as a dependency. Ensure a tar patch in the starting area.
Add a cheap copper mine. Ensure a copper rock in the starting area.
Add a recipe to turn coal dust into coal gas instead of syngas.
Add a recipe to turn coal dust into coal-slurry.

I am almost done with Automation research.
Fuel is good. I do have some scrap iron and copper left over.
Pipe connections on all the burner stuff and Crude Distructive Distilation Column have some issues, especially when rotating.

Early logistic bots are good for a mall. Early construction bots are meager for personal construction and give a great incentive to get to mk2 bots.

For example, iron ore. Once you make processed iron you are kinda stuck with that type of resource until you can process iron 01. It would be sweet if one got to processed iron first, but then could do a few intermediary steps to get to processed iron. You get the "end resource" early on but as ...

Re: pY Coal Processing - Discussion
inefficient systems like quenching are something I like to avoid.
Why is that inefficient? A supply of niobium without a mine, a supply of borax without syngas, a supply of saline water without needing salt or stone.
This is a mandatory usage of tar early game. This is how I make large power ...

Obtaining niobium through quenching tar is the easiest method early on. The biggest pain in the niobium chain is the HCl. Wait, the biggest pain for the majority of pyMods is HCl.

Two comments related only in that they both pertain to PH:
Has anyone tried to run a mega-tholin plant to supply them with miscellaneous chemicals? I find it tempting for its sheer simplicity, but 1000 tholins/s out of unmoduled yellow tholin extractors consumes 280 MW, which seems a bit ...
