Well you are requesting bots in your inventory. So when they fly out your inventory doesnt have them in it anymore... make sense that the network thinks you need those new 50 bots.

Perhaps the developers can add a thing to the game where you can actually see how many bots you have when hoovering with your mouse over the Roboport.

Example:
XX amount of construction bots
XX amount of logistic bots

This way we dont have to count ourselves with all kind of methods.
