Re: Friday Facts #128 - Back down to earth

I mean nobody will force you to use loaders, and your old chests setup will work just as it is This is true. As i stated at the end: But it would also save me the mess of all this above. I am not totally against it, I am a bit splitted over it. I know, it will allow more things, and will make allot...

Re: Friday Facts #128 - Back down to earth

Hi, here are my 2 Cents: I think something like this: http://i.imgur.com/DYX4HMB.png Is a bit overpowered, because it doesn't need more space than this Solution here for the chest loading and deloading part and it makes things much more easier than this Solution here: http://factorio.kalabint.com/Fa...

Re: [0.11.x] Factorio Maps

Hi there just one thing: OMG. This Mod filled my SSD with 34k PNG files à 51 GB... :D Well its now down to 25GB of JPG files :P Enjoy my Map Sidenote: I dont know why, but when you zoom out, then the Images in the edges look as when i took them in the Night. Does anyone knows why? Also i think the A...

Re: Research progress visualization

This Silly Fly has some good ideas: Just a quick UI/Visual idea - have the research bar have another color (lighter shade of green?) to show the amount of research currently done by labs. That is - if you research a technology with 20 steps, you currently done 6 units, and you have 3 labs currently ...

Re: Electric locomotives

Maglev's been done? How about building a hyperloop? I don't think that Maglev is already in the Game (as mod). But i also don't think so that its a good idea for the Game. It would need a new type of (very expensive) Rails. Also i think it would take a bit of the Fun of the Game, because Items can ...

Re: Electric locomotives

Electric trains should require fancy cables hanging along the rail, just like in real life. :D Magically getting powered by transformers sitting next to the rail makes no sense in a game striving for a bit of realism like this. Like this (random images from google) except in isometric factorio art ...

What do you think? What of that quote is your suggestion? Please try to formulate a single suggestion, that can stand alone and which can be discussed. (some hints are in https://forums.factorio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=3394 ) I have more time this evening to write more, i will do a collec...

Electric locomotives ☸

So, after searching a bit on the Forum, i found out, that there is not a Topic exclusively to this one. [Means: Only about how to move a Train forward, or things needed for this] Short: A Electric Locomotive Long: A Electric Locomotive which you can use like a "normal" Diesel Locomotive. T...

Re: Let's see your clever builds

@hoho This is absolutely not a stupid question, because its true... First example: I could let the Violet and blue ones going on around the red and greens, the need for this is at max 2 underground belts. But what I like is, that I have a buffer that way. BTW: you better don't see the rest of my Wor...

Hi, a small and simple Solution for Transporting Oil with Robots: http://factorio.kalabint.com/Factorio_images/Factorio_Oil_Plant.png Setup: Requester chest, i usually request 10-40 barrels Active Provider Chest A Storage Tank as buffer (too big^^) and a Assembly Machine The idea behind it is to Tra...

Re: Logistics/Construction Networks

@Nondre I just reread your Post
With
segmented networks
you mean for example a Roboport which is only capable of spanning up a Logistic network and vice versa?
So you can span up a Construction Network with much less Roboports, and they are still connected together?

Correct me if I'm wrong :)

Re: Logistics/Construction Networks

Hi, i have a idea what he maybe ment it: In my case its a Requester chest, followed with arms and chest, and at the end a passive provider chest. That's a Storage ;) but because the Requester chest setting is set to the contend of the Passive Provider chest, it builds a loop. Solution: Limit the Ran...
