Re: UPS optimized Steel smelting to 1 blue belt
Hi Dent, welcome:) Tips: Use an empty editor map, with 2 mods: - RegionCloner - DeleteEmptyChunks (That is how to keep the map small.) - In editor mode, you can set everything to map tiles, and do all research. - You can use the express loader and infinity chest for output too, no need for inserters...

Re: Some things I tested for UPS
What do you mean by not linear? Does doubling the number of entities not double the calculation time? No.because with big builds, not all entities are in the same state for the same amount of time. Btw, factorio has a benchmark function that output exact timings. See https://wiki.factorio.com/Comma...

Both your service agreement and your privacy policy are extremely one-sided. There is mention of advertising, very vague. No option for cookie management. No mentioning of GDPR, while you have servers in Europe. (it is forbidden to save personal details of customers in EU outside Europe). I would st...

Re: NO-PATH with multiple trains
First: As long as you do not see the no path appear above the train, it doesn't count:) Second:. your use of chain signals causes the very brief no path. Change all chains to rails, and the no path disappears. the trains seem to work like you intend. Proof: 0eNqtnNlu8kgQhV9l5GuI3Ls7F/MiowgRcP7fGmIj2...

Re: Extensible 5,494.08 GW Nuclear Power Plant with Steam production
I am working on something like this atm. Here is what I have: a very simple extensible power plant. First segment (start) is a 480 MW (4 reactors) build. you add 360MW (2 reactors) with every extension. (the blueprint is in testing mode. you need editor extensions and magic lamp mods) My design cons...

Re: UPS Optimization - the full belt myth
that is a good idea, mrvn. But this topic is about full blue belts vs partially filled blue belts. So far, partially filled belts are lighter on ups load in my tests.
