Re: Able to connect, then unable

Their modem does have UPNP enabled. We also tried using IPV6 addresses now, but neither worked. We tried Hamachi. They were not able to connect to my network. I was able to connect to their network. Once we did so, we were not able to connect to each other's hamachi-given IP addresses for factorio. ...

Re: Able to connect, then unable

We were not using any sort of network simulator. We used to play without peer to peer but tried it as an option when we couldn't get anything working. I'm starting to wornder if neither of us has the port forwarding set up correctly. Does only the host need port forwarding?

Yes, Skype was working at all times, and sound quality was restored after the new modem.

Able to connect, then unable

We were playing multiplayer today and their modem was going bad. The game was lagging and Skype was autotuning me. So she restarted her modem. After that, neither of us was able to connect to the other under any circumstance. We were playing Dytech modded 12.10 at the time. Here's the things we trie...

Re: Guys, How do you feel about the killing power of tanks.

Tanks are nice for everything but biters. More like a utility vehicle. Cutting a path through a forest? Tank. Picking up a load of ore from a small remote station? Those things have trunk space like nobody's business. Fire that main gun at nests; takes 'em out right quick. Then drive away and run ov...

How much damage does the train do?

I'm mostly interested in knowing how much to the player. Is it physical damage? I've heard that armor helps? Is it based purely on train speed, or is there a mass part to it? Does it push you out of the way or is there a chance of a double hit? In general, how much sheilding is needed to be safe?

Unofficial Factorio soundtrack

I was showing my brother the trailer for Factorio, and he said if the game had the same sort of music it would have a totally different personality. So besides the trailer https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9yDZM0diiYc and this obvious candidate https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m764ibnTO-U what other so...
