Re: [1.1.67] Train on auto won't refuel even if in range

Thanks. There's a bunch of things that can stop the issue from ever happening and that's a good suggestion. It just seemed odd to come to the machine, see it complaining of no fuel while there was an inserter with fuel in hand within range that just wasn't delivering it due to the train being in aut...

[1.1.67] Inactive mining drills making noise from satellite view.

What happened While sweeping over landscape to see what had happened, the view passed over a field of mining drills. A moment of sound is heard, even though all drills are inactive due to missing fluid. The moment you stop, the sound stops. What should happen An inactive drill should not make any no...

[1.1.67] Train on auto won't refuel even if in range

What happened. Received a warning that train was out of fuel. Notification takes me straight to the train, and I thought 'that's odd', as at first sight it appeared to be in the station. I then realised it wasn't quite in the station. The reason the train ran out of fuel is probably just that it nev...

Re: [0.18.30] Oil Refinery Still Showing Yellow Droplet for Light Oil

Exactly right. I thought I'd checked that wasn't impacting the situation as the main item panel doesn't show the refinery as altered by Krastorio2. I should have looked further as the pipe below clearly shows it's self as modified and the exit icon must pick up the icon from connected pipe rather th...

The exit shows the new greener tint, but the center icon has the old yellow droplet.

[0.18.22] Undo not as expected

CTRL-Z should unwind the last action. I accidentally deleted a blueprint with Shift + Click while a blueprint book was open. CRTL-Z undid the last build command instead of re-instating the blueprint. I'm not sure exactly whether CTRL-Z is intended to ignore the blueprint deletion.

[0.18.22] Station Sound and Power

Most sounds change in response to the activity of the item generating the sound. Factories for example don't generate the factory sound when not running. The station has a clicking sound which seems to click in exact timing with the light going on and off when the train is in the station. Once a tra...

[0.17.52] Achievement appears complete but isn't

Questionable if this is a bug, but as far as the user can see, the achievement is complete given the granularity is at the level of 1000s of complete items. Of course, the achievement was completed seconds later. I recall something similar recently for research was altered to only report complete wh...

Re: [0.17.50] Belt/Inserter Asymmetry

Thanks for explaining. I wouldn't call this intuitive behaviour, but perhaps that's what keeps the game so interesting. Clearly this makes it imperative to upgrade inserters in tandem with the belts.

[0.17.50] Belt/Inserter Asymmetry

As I began to upgrade yellow belts to blue, but not the inserters, I noticed some asymmetry I thought was addressed recently. Maybe this is an edge case. It shows that yellow inserters have more trouble collecting blue belt content that is closer to them. To show this, I used cheat mode to create tw...

Yeh. That would make sense if you had previously researched personal laser defences, or had them for free.

[0.17.48] Technology Development Dependencies

What Happened? I can research additional weapons damage for lasers without having figured out how to build a laser yet. I noticed my technology list looked like this: https://i.imgur.com/bpEWhHn.png Then I noticed I could choose to develop this: https://i.imgur.com/y36SbW2.png Before this https://i...

Re: Friday Facts #291 - New Campaign, MP stress testing, HR Icons II

I'll guess that's because these are the ones that have been converted for the test. In fact, you're seeing (in the yellow one) the new level of detail that will come to all icons when rendered thus.

Re: Friday Facts #288 - New remnants, More bugs

Given the situation that some remnants can be really irritating - dead bugs everywhere been the most obvious one as shown earlier in a screenshot - perhaps a new bot could be added which has cleanup duties with its sphere of influence. Compilatron rubbish collectors running round the base cleaning u...

Re: [0.17.15] Belt immunity equipment innefective while driving

I suspect that rather than an intention, it's the default behaviour for the reason's you specify. You're in the tank, not becoming the tank. In which case a similar tool for driven equipment would also be a useful addition :)

[0.17.15] Belt immunity equipment innefective while driving

Not clear if this is a bug or intended behaviour. Belt immunity gear doesn't seem to function when driving a tank; presumably applies to other vehicles.

[0.17.12] [Mod] Power warning icon order

I'm not sure if this is a mod issue or the primary game. The only custom UI element in the game here is from the Nixie Tube mod https://i.imgur.com/D8m81mw.jpg Looking at it more closely, it seems clear the Nixie Tube mod is drawing last, but should it be able to paint over a main-game power warning?

[0.17.12] Oddly sparse train dialog

I've got a feeling that this is isn't really the intended layout.

Image

Screen size is 3840x2160 and the UI scale is on automatic. I changed it to 125% and, though smaller, the sparse layout persists.

Re: [0.17.0] Laser tower beams affected by daylight (dark at night)

I'm gonna guess they're inundated with work and don't have time to respond to everything individually. I can't imagine they won't fix this though. Those lasers are gonna look so cool at night :)
