Just tried, and the error/crash happens even with game tweaks and everything else enabled (the whole lot checked).

That's the workaround, but this inconsistency should be patched.

Yeah, I just hit this problem as well. I wanted to add a gated crossing between a stacker and its connected stations. I assumed I could simply add a chain signal at the crossing and either override its value or, at the very least, read its value. But, it doesn't connect.

Yep, that solved it! At 87% UI scale, they come back everywhere.

It's visible in the save list, just not in the save input textbox (or any other textbox). My locale is "Default."

Dashes/hyphens/minus signs are not visible in the save name textbox, station rename textbox, arithmetic combinator dropdown menus, and network condition textboxes. They're probably not visible in other places as well, but these are the obvious examples.
