As of 0.17.8, this seems to have been fixed!

[0.17.0] Inserter Highlight Inconsistency
When placing a new inserter, the game highlights the tile that the inserter takes from, but does not highlight the tile that it pushes to. Placed inserters highlight both when hovered over.
Both tiles should be highlighted when placing a new inserter.

Is there a way to view the raw resources required for an item to be built inside an event listener?
For example, a way to find that a single "transport belt" is valued at 1.5 iron? (Note that this is because the recipe takes 3 iron, but crafts 2 belts)
