Re: Tier 2 and 3 walls + new liquid
While the energy wall idea feels cool and all, I think it wouldn't work well with this game. Think about the individual power costs, UPS costs, and memory costs for this added feature to the wall segments, then multiply this by the thousands, if not tens of thousands of wall segments you likely hav...

[*]Fixed bad pumpjack drain logic related to yield. (https://forums.factorio.com/110005) Didn't knew that oil spills rich enough can have more than 2/s yield minimum. Good to know! (might come handy for making dedicated Legendary fuel factories in the future...) The minimum is being calculated usin...

Re: Tier 2 and 3 walls + new liquid
As our current walls are made from stone, I kind of feel like the advanced walls could be made with concrete and refined concrete (refined, iirc, has iron ore in it, which I think is supposed to be representative of iron rebar). While the energy wall idea feels cool and all, I think it wouldn't work...

Re: Preorder of Factorio 2.0 DLC and get NEW RAILS EARLY!
Problem with that is that they're probably not done with 2.0, yet What was the first public release version of Factorio? While I understand what you're getting at, this would mean an additional release branch the devs would be putting time toward (and away from the rest of the expansion), and it wo...

Re: Dynamic Train Stop activation/deactivation
Deactivating and activating is not recommend. To add onto this, I believe one of the devs said something a while back about removing this ability with 2.0. Yeah, I also remember, that it is going to be removed. I hope that a train manager is coming with 2.0 though. Source? There are use cases that ...

Re: [1.1.94] Crash on start with Radeon mobile graphics (Failed to get SDL_DXGIGetOutputInfo.)
As suggested, try uninstalling and reinstalling the graphics driver. For the uninstall, you can even use DDU (direct download from dev found here: https://www.wagnardsoft.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=4731) to make sure it's completely cleaned out. When reinstalling, make sure to use the version provid...

Re: Preorder of Factorio 2.0 DLC and get NEW RAILS EARLY!
Problem with that is that they're probably not done with 2.0, yet, plus by doing so they'll start getting bug reports for it that they'll need to concentrate on instead of the Expansion, pushing its release date back....
No, I'd rather wait.

Re: [1.1.94] Game Crashes immediately on opening
For laptop discrete graphics cards, it's best to update the drivers via the manufacturer's website, not via Windows.

Yeah, I like this mod. I hope it's still possible to do after 2.0.

Re: Train stop train count
This can already be done very simply with what we already have.
(Disclaimer: I'm not a combinator/circuit network guru, so it may be possible to do this even more simply.)
Edit: Yup, my desire to make a picture because I suck at words made me too slow.

Re: Friday Facts #386 - Vulcanus
Agreed, we don’t know where it is in the tech tree. But I would guess it’s around the time you hit space as that is where quality would start being most beneficial. Maybe, but it could also require materials from the other planets to even make. We just don't know enough about it, yet. As far as it ...

Re: Preserving Factorio 1.0
You don't need to purchase a second copy. All you need to do to download the game from the website is link your Steam and Factorio accounts. This was already said almost verbatim just a couple posts up: You don't need to purchase another copy. You just link your steam account and your factorio acco...

Also, meh, would I want to void items in the lava when the alternative way to get more resources out of unwanted items exists: Recycler? Recycler isn't actually voiding, it's just breaking down with a high rate of loss. Plus we're not sure where in the tech tree it is, yet, and it's a part of the Q...

Huh. Seems like an odd request to me. Especially seems they've gone back through and edited all of their previous posts to delete everything they said (despite not actually being able to delete all of it seems they were quoted many of the times). Seriously makes me wonder if an account got hacked......

Re: How do I see needed ingredients in the quickbar?
So I have these items in my quickbar that are grayed out because I don't have the materials to build them, when I hover over them it does not tell me what I need to make them, yet it does that in my inventory. Is there a setting [or mod] that will show me the required crafting materials/ingredients...

Re: Friday Facts #386 - Vulcanus
If you read ALL of the post, you CANNOT landfill lava. Lava is permanent. Which is good. Wrong. Ahem. Please read that first line, near the end. You might want to read your own screenshot again.... that you can't landfill (for a long time) That does not mean it is "permanent".
