Yeah I was thinking of ways to stop overfilling the engines at standstill, but since my goal was to keep this as simple as possible I stuck with this one. The initial burst of speed is quite a nice bonus allbeit inefficient.

The simplest thruster fuel consumption control! No combinators, only 1 wire.

TL:DR Use a pump and connect either fuel or oxydizer to an empty tank. Wire the pump to the tank and set to only turn on when there is less than 125 units of your chosen liquid. Connect all the engines AFTER the tank, other liquid can flow freely to the thrusters. Thats it ;)

Steam cooling down over time/distance

Seeing as steam is now another liquid it would be more realistic to make it cool down over some time or distance and then condese into water.

It would present more challanges while transporting steam in fluid wagons or over long distances.
Now it seems strange that you can simply fill up a tank ...

Satelite can be used to set a new big goal

The player crashed on the planet, let's say, in an escape pod. The location of the main ship is unknown.
Satellite would be used to find the main crashed ship. This would make a satellite actually useful.
