I'm trying to update to 0.17, but my install doesn't seem to detect new updates. Downloading the new installer would take a ridiculous amount of time (my internet is super slow). [0.15.10] Can't see pollution

I'm not positive if this is a bug. I looked over my map settings and game settings and I have everything how I want it, but I still can't see pollution on both the minimap and map view. I can't figure out why. Can anyone help?

AWESOME UPDATE!

But now I'm completely lost... has anyone figured out the new optimum boiler to steam engine ratio? Right now it looks like an offshore pump can support 40 steam engines, but that's all I can figure out. I'd appreciate the help, just started a new map.
