Landmines don't work very well because biters don't have any fear factor or deterrence, they just charge ahead until they die. If biter behavior was a bit more organic, say they naturally tended to avoid areas where biters died recently, then land mines would be effective.
On that note, that's not ...

Re: Avatar Teleporter
Maybe make it cost blocks of solid fuel that goes up in a linear fashion with distance? This would also give solid fuel more useful.

What you're saying sounds cool, therapist, but your name doesn't, but that's probably just my perverted mind.
What's so bad about a Therapist ?
:D
Since he referenced his "perverted" mind, I would imagine that his brain is adding a space after the first three letters... or capitalizing the ...

Re: Use flamethrower fuel as fuel
Not really practical to try using it as generic fuel, as its properties when burning aren't those you look for in a fuel. It burns unevenly and leaves heavy residue.
I'm not saying it can't be used, but I wouldn't try and use it in anything that wasn't specifically designed for it.

Re: Humble Store
I hope they don't go humble store anytime soon... The prices go ridiculously low, and this game is waaaay too good to be doing that. I hope that Factorio avoids the bundle scene for a long time. I usually just buy bundle games, but this is one of those games that are way too enjoyable to wait for it ...

Re: Dormant Hives Released by Pollution
I find that I spread my territory so wide that I don't really need any border defense... I don't get attacked, since all of my polluters are so far inland, that none of the pollution ever makes it out. And this is playing with all resource settings put down 1 level, and all enemy settings put up 1 ...

Dormant Hives Released by Pollution
So I'm just making stuff up here.... Not sure how much this pertains to the storyline.
So you are a few engineers were "industrializing" this huge resource planet and preparing it for a wave of colonists to land and populate it. You went up into your ship to do a low orbit scan for resources, when ...

Re: Attacking biters with turrets makes all weapons pointles
I'm not sure if this has been mentioned... but has anyone thought about adding highly laser resistant biters or another type of enemy? Heck, it doesn't even have to be aggressive.
Idea 1: Add mutated biter that is highly resistant to lasers.

Re: Gun turrets have higher power requirements than laser tu
o mention that to power the laser turrets, you need a large power plant with huge energy reserves in accumulators, otherwise you kill your power supply when they start firing, gun turrets on the other hand, the energy is fed into them slowly and constantly as you build your ammo, so can get by on a ...
