In vanilla it is possible to wait for 100 fish to load before launch, via a scenario softmod that periodically checks the inventory of every silo and activates the silo launch command, using control.lua.

I already mentioned it here, lol. Apparently it was overlooked.

Lol, I see upgrading the 0.6.4 game object animations is possible, but would be a ridiculous effort done manually via a mouse. M3wM3w / Mewmew Comfy Factorio has a way around this. Turn off autolaunch in the game GUI but have a separate scenario/softmod GUI control to trigger launch at 100 fish.

Eh, seems like this was Wube taking M3wM3w / Mewmew's incredibly popular Comfy Fish Defense and turning it into an official game scenario.

Have you seen Comfy Minesweeper? Wow, this is an amazing new scenario softmod. I pretty much expect Wube to turn it into another official scenario.

I have a personal save I did on Windows 10 from about wave 1400, about 5 game hours before the crash.

Sorry I don't know what good it will do you being so far from the crash event, but I will post it later today.
