Re: Space Age - Planet Gleba and Pollution contributing to Spoilage

Ok well I didn’t expect a different pollution system operating Gleba.

Without knowing what is involved in the entire manufacturing loop of gleba science, I wonder if my idea is still feasible in some form.

Production has to be take out of the pollen cloud?

Re: Base Creation - My 10 SPM Micro Base in Factorio – Challenges and Designs

I find this one is aesthetic too ! I really like the belt weawing and the general look of the factory, you can spend time looking at it following belts and trying to think for yourself "what if this was moved here ? or there ? wouldn't it be more compact ". It has some "where's waldo...

Re: Base Creation - My 10 SPM Micro Base in Factorio – Challenges and Designs

Please explain how the nuclear set up works. Would you be so kind to share a save file from your set up? Thanks for your kind consideration There was a lot of trial and error. I found that the important factors were the orientation of the buildings to ensure that nothing backs up cause a lock as we...

This is very cool. Reminds me of the magical creation of DaveMCW, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9dzQge6pe2o, but without the recursive blueprint stuff.
Yea! was inspired by the likes of this and other projects people have undertaken.

Base Creation - My 10 SPM Micro Base in Factorio – Challenges and Designs

Hey Factorio community! I recently completed a self-imposed challenge project to build a self-contained microbase that produces 10 science packs per minute (SPM). I started this project 6 months ago but with Space Age fast approaching I wanted to finish this before changes came into effect. I wanted...

Re: Space Age - Planet Gleba and Pollution contributing to Spoilage

Yea I wasn't necessairly suggesting that I had any of the numbers thought out on how to balance it.

But I think the idea is worth considering seeing as currently apart from biter evolution there is no reason to worry about pollution

Space Age - Planet Gleba and Pollution contributing to Spoilage

TL;DR I would like to see the pollution cloud we create contributing to spoilage in some aspect on the planet of Gleba. What ? I am only basing this idea/suggestion off what has been shown in the current FFFs, there is likely to be things that I am unable to consider in this conversation based on t...

Re: [0.17.25] Blueprinted/ghost vertical trains misaligned by ~1 tile

To further this, this blueprint is having similar behaviour, I am trying to place this blueprint and as I place it, half the items offset by 1 tile up and 1 tile left, which stops the blueprint from placing correctly at all 0eJy9nVtv2zgQhf+LnsNC5FAX568siiJpjV0DiR04TrFFkf++TkVSeuhqztQ8etxsLl95OR4ezRF...

Thanks for the report however this isn't a bug.
Not a bug, so that means you expect the stack inserter to work that way when placed that close to another one?

This was working in 0.16

Re: [0.17.6] Stack Inserter Behaviour

Yea you are currently refrencing train unloading and that isn't quite the same as the example I am giving. if you place 2 stack inserters 1 space apart the loading one can't pick up all the items accurately. However if you place them 3 spaces apart like in my example, the inserter picks them all up ...

[0.17.6] Stack Inserter Behaviour

Blueprint of Dummy Set up, trying to replicate the issue. https://pastebin.com/8FfqGj0A I have set up a little dummy circuit to replicate the bigger Picture. Stack Inserter unloads onto belt and another Stack inserter picks it up, however the distance between these stack inserters change how reliabl...

Re: My guide to "There is no spoon"

Thought I should mention that I didn't go down the productivity road, found it was easier to just double my steam power to 40 steam engines and run extra speed modules through the bottleneck areas, green circuits/red circuits and blue science. this allowed me to launch at 6 hours without to much pre...

Re: My guide to "There is no spoon"

Just wanted to say thanks to the both of you DosBoots for the screenshots of your layout and Markavian for the build checklist.

I managed to finish this in 6 hours following your guides, and making a bit up along the way! Top work
