Re: Colors for daltonic?
it'd just be plain old useful for there to be a program that will turn what's on screen into something different if you're colour blind cycling RGB or swapping RB RG or GB in different games or different situations might help you and it may not look natural or right to us Neurotypicals but if it ...

Re: Colors for daltonic?
I don't actually have any experience in color correction for color blindness, but here's an idea that should be fairly easy to implement and generic...
So, basically, how you transform a color depends mostly on hue, right?
Let's say we represent every pixel as HSV values. Then you may define three ...

Laptop Battery Notification
So while playing today, my laptop's power cord came unplugged at some point, and eventually died. I'm guessing factorio must end up blocking system notifications. I can understand the logic behind that, for more seamless gameplay. Would it be possible to implement an in-game warning for low battery ...

Perhaps launching a satellite could be a prerequisite for this tech, seems to make sense to me at least ![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif)

Re: Colors for daltonic?
I also suffer from a form of red-green colorblindness, specifically "deuteranopia". There are many kinds of colorblindness, as mentioned, but most forms result in the inability to distinguish between red and green. The second most common form is the inability to distinguish between blue and yellow ...

Re: More transparent autosaving
I don't think that there would be a better solution than the current one. The amount of time & memory it takes to save a file in parallel to the game loop would cause massive performance issues in many peoples systems. As it stands they can currently scan the game's memory, compress it and save it ...

More transparent autosaving
I have noticed that while the game auto saves, there is a momentary dropout of responsiveness. This time gap is just long enough to be a little bit annoying without being outright distracting, usually resulting in just one or two keys or clicks missed. How feasible would it be to have an option to ...

Re: Option to turn off notifications
Without access to the forthcoming programmable speaker, I don't quite know how it will work for this purpose just yet, but I do notice the option "show alert"
Imho, this is a great opportunity. I was already hoping for a block dedicated to creating custom alerts with or without the option to ...

Re: Option to turn off notifications
This is very true, and I do often play as such. There is still no way I know of to disable the visual warnings, though

Re: Option to turn off notifications
For clarification, when I say turning off notifications, I'm referring to the built in alarm that sounds when items in the factory take damage or are destroyed

Option to turn off notifications
Just a thought I had, reading the FFF regarding those nifty programmable speakers you plan to implement. Wouldn't it be a super convenient option to simultaneously increase play difficulty and give the speakers a useful role if you add a "damage sensor". That would allow/require the player to ...

Enemy AI in relation to difficulty
Let me start by expressing how much I love this game; It really does push the boundary and innovate a new niche of game play. That said, I feel the current enemy ai implementation to be a bit of a background nuance. For as much replay value that this game has to offer, the alien intelligence becomes ...
